The members of OPEIU Local 277 working at Lockheed Martin have ratified a new three-year and seven-month agreement.  Details of that agreement can be found here.  The bargaining committee would like to thank the membership for a strong turnout Saturday morning.  The committee members were Jackie Curry, Kelley Box, Debra Johnson, Diane Gonzalez, Crystal Gentry, Linda Gonzalez, and Tyler Turner.

Lockheed Negotiations Update

The Company and the Union Bargaining Committee have reached a tentative agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement.  Ratification will be held on Saturday, October 9th, at 10 AM in the Lake Worth High School Auditorium.

As in years past, the Company will be conducting benefits sessions for members to review changes to the health plan and ask questions.  Those sessions are scheduled to take place on October 5th, 6th, and 7th.  Information on how to sign up and attend will be forthcoming.  All other details of the agreement will be discussed during the members-only ratification meeting.  There will be no voting by proxy, so please make a plan to attend.

Lockheed Negotiations Update

The Union Bargaining Committee and the Company are working to finalize a new agreement with significant improvements, job upgrades, and added flexibility.  The parties will continue meeting the week of September 27th to resolve outstanding grievances and confirm the job installation agreement.

 

A friendly reminder that the regularly scheduled general membership meeting is Monday, October 4th.

Lockheed Negotiations Update

The Company and the Union Bargaining Committee resumed negotiations Monday, September 13th, to advance discussions concerning non-economic items and continue subcommittee work on job classifications and grievances.  There has been significant progress made in all three areas in an effort to begin shifting focus to economic items.  The Union Bargaining Committee shared its proposal for economic improvements Friday, September 17th.  The proposal included general wage increases, a ratification bonus, performance incentive payouts, and improvements to the following: cost of living, retirement, insurance, holidays, lead pay, and other areas.

Negotiations will resume Monday, September 20th at 9:00 am.
